Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming oral pathology, enhancing diagnostic precision, efficiency, and workflow automation. AI-based models (Natural Language Processing), particularly machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL) (convolutional neural networks), and computer vision, improve disease detection, classification, and prognosis. This review highlights AI's key applications, benefits, and challenges in oral pathology. Despite AI’s potential to standardize pathology practices and improve patient outcomes, ethical concerns, data privacy issues, and integration challenges remain barriers. Future advancements in AI-driven predictive modeling, histopathology automation, and digital pathology platforms will further enhance clinical decision-making and oral disease management.
