The paper examines various aspects of interactions between federal and regional authorities in the Russian Federation. The processes in which interaction is built are considered. The trends of changes in recent years in the field of normative regulation and practical aspects are identified. Conclusions are made about the prospects for interaction between regional authorities and the federal center.
