Evidence indicates significant links between periodontal health and cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), diabetes mellitus, and adverse pregnancy outcomes. The primary mechanisms include systemic inflammation, microbial dysbiosis, and immune responses. This review explores these associations, highlights recent advancements in research, and emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in improving patient outcomes.
