Abstract

The research aims to uncover the morphological roots that are disputed in the Quranic vocabulary in terms of derivation, weight and form according to Al-Sana'ani's treatment of them in his book, Tafsir Gharib Al-Qur'an, and to discuss and compare them with what was said by the previous scholars of Gharib Al-Qur'an (Ibn Qutaybah, Al-Sijistani and Al-Raghib Al-Isfahani), and to examine their evidence, turn opinions on them and attempt to Weighing them, with the aim of achieving scientific results. The research followed the descriptive analytical approach, and came in seven issues, which are: the disputed morphological origin of the word "Sayyib", the disputed morphological origin of the word "Iblis", the disputed morphological origin of the word "Taghut", the disputed morphological origin of the word "Torah", and the disputed morphological origin of the word "Taurat". The disputed word of the word tatra, the disputed morphological root of the word anasi, and the disputed morphological root of the word muhaymin, in addition to a preface, introduction, and conclusion. The research reached results, the most important of which is: Al-Sanaani looked into the compositions of the strange words of the Qur'an, deduced their fruits, extracted their benefits, and benefited from them in The scientific material and the methodological approach, especially the book Gharib al-Quran by al-Sijistani, and he added to it a good effort, a complete summary of the intended meaning, and a clarification that conveys the desired goal, and he addressed the disagreement in the morphological principles in seven words, which are (Sayyib, Iblis, Taghut, Torah, Tatra, Anasi, and al-Muhaymin), and his discussion came in a brief and comprehensive manner. Sometimes he prefers the disagreement, and sometimes he leaves it without preference, and he dropped the sayings that chose the foreignness of some words mentioned in the Quran.
