Background and Purpose: Electromyography biofeedback has recently been applied to various fields.However, research applied to the rehabilitation of elite athletes is lacking.Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of electromyography biofeedback training on wrist grip strength and muscle activity in softball players.This study was conducted on 30 softball players who were randomly divided into two groups.Subjects were randomly assigned to the electromyography biofeedback training group (EMG Biofeedback Training, EBT) and Task-Oriented Training (TOT) group.The subjects experimented for 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week, for 4 weeks.A Daewoo electronic grip dynamometer (DW-781 Daewoo, Korea) was used to measure wrist grip strength, and a Noraxon mini DTS was used to measure muscle activity.Measurements evaluated wrist grip strength and muscle activity before and after the experiment.Both groups showed significant differences in wrist grip strength and muscle activity.The electromyography biofeedback training group showed statistically significant differences in wrist grip strength and muscle activity compared to the task-oriented training group (p<0.05).It was found that electromyography biofeedback training did not have a negative effect on all categories and was effective in improving wrist grip strength and muscle activity functions.
