Abstract

The purpose of the article is to reveal the main trends of the scientific and methodological activity of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The research methodology consists in the application of normative, alternative, socio-communicative, systemic and structural-functional approaches, methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization, cognitive, the relationship between theory and practice. The scientific novelty of the presented work enriches modern ideas about the essence, content and directions of the scientific and methodological activity of the leading scientific and information complex of the state in the conditions of war. Three groups of factors are presented, which have a decisive influence on the functioning of Ukrainian library practice: social and political conditions, technological and personnel. Conclusions. In the conditions of martial law, the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine is successfully implementing a new model of scientific and methodological activity – scientific and communication, based on library interaction and communication, information and monitoring. Scientific and methodological activity in today’s complex realities is purposefully focused on improving the work of the library network of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, systematically works to improve the professional level of academic librarians, productively promotes the assets of Ukrainian scientists in the national electronic environment and successfully integrates the achievements of Ukrainian science into a consolidated information space.
