Detailed knowledge about the properties (such as phase behavior, viscosity, and density) of hydrofluoroolefin (HFO)/lubricant mixtures is necessary for the design and optimization of the refrigeration facility. In this work, measurements on the solubility (p-T-x) of trans-1,3,3-tetrafluoropropene R1234ze(E), 3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R1243zf), and 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropylene (R1234yf) in polyolester oil (POE46) were performed using the isochoric saturation method at temperatures ranging from 283.15 to 343.15 K. The obtained results were correlated with the NRTL activity coefficient model and the Wilson activity coefficient model, respectively, where the NRTL model shows higher accuracy for the studied mixtures. Moreover, the solubility of R1234ze(E), R1243zf, and R1234yf in different viscosity grade POE oils including POE32, POE46, POE75, and POE85 is compared and discussed.
