ABSTRACT : This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research on banking financial performance with a particular focus on the CAMELS model, covering publications from 2005 to 2024. Data were retrieved from the Dimensions database and analysed using VOSviewer to examine publication trends, citation impact, co-authorship patterns, institutional collaboration, and keyword networks. The findings indicate a marked growth in research output after 2014, peaking in 2023 and 2024, while earlier studies—especially those published around 2013, continue to receive higher citation impact. Journal articles dominate the literature, underscoring the central role of peer-reviewed outlets, whereas book chapters and conference papers remain limited. Collaboration networks are strongly concentrated in India, South Asia, and major global academic hubs, although several authors and institutions appear relatively isolated. Co-citation analysis highlights the influence of leading outlets such as the Journal of Banking & Finance and SSRN. Keyword analysis reveals emerging themes including Indian banking performance, Islamic finance, financial inclusion, econometric methods, and AI-based financial analysis. Overall, the study identifies growth patterns, collaboration gaps, and future research opportunities.
