Objectives: This study aimed to review clinical studies published over the past two decades to identify research trends and evaluate the effectiveness of complex herbal medicine treatments for dumping syndrome. Methods: Domestic and international databases—including KISS, KCI, OASIS, RISS, ScienceON, PubMed, CNKI, and Science Direct-were searched for studies published between 2005 and 2025. Clinical studies using multi-herb prescriptions, medicinal diets, or Chinese herbal iontophoresis were included, and study designs, participants, interventions, and outcomes were analyzed. Results: Fourteen studies met the inclusion criteria. Herbal treatments, particularly prescriptions targeting spleen–stomach deficiency, improved gastrointestinal symptoms, hypoglycemia-related signs, and quality of life. Randomized trials showed significant superiority over control treatments, and observational studies consistently supported symptom improvement.Reported adverse events were minimal. Conclusion: Complex herbal therapies may serve as beneficial adjunctive treatments for dumping syndrome. Further large-scale clinical trials and standardized outcome measures are required to strengthen the evidence.
