DESCRIPTION Recent experimental and theoretical reports have indicated that certain three-dimensional crystalline solids may exhibit electronic transport characteristics typically associated with reduced-dimensional systems, while retaining full three-dimensional structural connectivity. These findings indicate that electronic dimensionality may, under specific structural conditions, decouple from lattice dimensionality, giving rise to highly anisotropic electronic transport within bulk materials. This work introduces OSCHEW-1, a non-proprietary, non-enabling reference class describing a class of three-dimensionally bonded solid-state material architectures characterized by the coexistence of an embedded honeycomb electronic sub-structure and a chiral stacking sequence within the bulk lattice.
