This paper introduces a new way to write derivatives using a scalar notation, where the operator explicitly shows which function and variable are being differentiated. The notation makes higher-order, mixed, and partial derivatives easier to read and understand, while keeping all the usual rules of differentiation intact, including linearity, the product rule, and the chain rule. Several examples, including polynomials, trigonometric functions, and functions of multiple variables, show how this approach simplifies calculations and improves clarity. The method is useful for teaching, formal proofs, and computer-based mathematics.
