Kolkovací akce při vzniku měny Československé republiky a účast absolventů právnické fakulty české pražské univerzity při ní: úsměvné i chmurné chvíle na základě pamětí Karla Leopolda

This study is a contribution to the history of creation of the currency of the independent Czechoslovak Republic. It deals with the participation of some extraordinary graduates of the Faculty of Law of the Czech University, most notably the Czechoslovak Minister of Finance Alois Rašín. They prepared and implemented a so-called ‘revenue stamping drive’, where revenue stamps were affixed to banknotes issued by the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which thus became the first Czechoslovak banknotes. This was accompanied by various humorous but also tragicomical or even tragic stories, some of which are retold here.
