This study reported a clinical case in implantology in which a digital workflow was used throughout the process to reduce a multiple surgical intervention and minimizing complications, a sinus lift “lateral wall technique” and implant placement, in one stage protocol. After collecting three-dimensional data of the patient, a computed tomography scan (cone-beam computed tomography), intraoral scan using TRIOS 5, and smile photos using a DSLR camera, all information obtained from different devices was fused into a single plan, creating a virtual patient using NEMOSCAN. The patient (23 years old) had lost the teeth (15 and 16), and insufficient bone volume makes no room for an implant. After autosegmentation of the different anatomical structures (maxilla, sinus, and teeth) using NEMOTEC, two bone supported guides were designed: one for outlining the bony window of the sinus to perform a sinus lift “lateral wall technique” and the other for the full guided implant placement to enhance precision and predictability in this complex procedure. The sinus lift, traditionally associated with increased surgical risk and variability, benefits from digital planning that allows for the meticulous assessment of anatomical structures and optimal implant positioning. This digital technique reduces patient discomfort and recovery time.
