Key Points

  • To assess the risk of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis associated with leukotriene receptor antagonists and explore underlying genes and mechanisms.
  • Conducted disproportionality analysis using FAERS, JADER, and CVAR databases.
  • Utilized network pharmacology to identify potential genes and mechanisms related to LTRA-induced EGPA.
  • Indicated that LTRAs may significantly increase the risk of developing EGPA.
  • Identified several potential genes involved in the mechanisms of LTRA-induced EGPA.

Abstract

Our study revealed LTRAs could increase the risk of EGPA, and initially explored potential genes and mechanisms of LTRAs-induced EGPA. It is helpful for clinicians to be alerted to the risk of EGPA during LTRAs administration.
