Abstract The recent advancements in painless vaccination technologies focus on microneedles (MNs), needle-free injectors, and nanovaccines as alternatives to traditional vaccine delivery methods. Vaccines are crucial in preventing infectious diseases, but needle-based injections often induce pain and fear, particularly in children, contributing to vaccine hesitancy. Microneedles, which are tiny, pain-free devices that deliver vaccines through the skin, offer a promising solution. These MNs create pores in the skin, allowing for efficient vaccine delivery to the immune system’s active regions. Needle-free injectors, utilizing high-pressure air or liquid jets, provide another innovative, noninvasive method for vaccination. Nanovaccines develop immunogenicity with minimal adverse effects and good durability. Apart from these benefits, there are common challenges with these new technologies, such as issues with manufacturing, pricing, public trust, and awareness. Overcoming these problems requires continued research and increased public awareness about the safety and efficacy of these new methods. These painless vaccines can play a significant role in improving vaccination rates and health outcomes in the public.
