Purpose: To provide further characterization of the clinical features and multimodal imaging findings of stellate nonhereditary idiopathic foveomacular retinoschisis (SNIFR) with peripapillary retinoschisis (PPRS). Methods: A case report of a 60-year-old male diagnosed with SNIFR with PPRS, whose SD-OCT, SS-OCT, OCT-A, and FA findings are detailed. Results: Clinical examination in conjunction with multimodal imaging analysis clinched the diagnosis of SNIFR with PPRS. A novel stringy appearance of the posterior hyaloid face was captured on both SD Cirrus HD-OCT and Silverstone UWF-guided SS-OCT. Conclusion: The newly reported finding of an anomalous filiform posterior hyaloid face in SNIFR seems promising with regards to elucidating the unclear pathophysiology of this condition and merits further investigation.
