We present a case of traumatic intercostal pulmonary hernia that occurred following a fall. The patient had been experiencing pain for months prior to diagnosis. A chest CT scan revealed a large lung herniation measuring 9 x 4.5 x 9 cm between ribs 8 and 9, as well as fractures to ribs 6 to 11 on the right. Surgical reconstruction of the chest wall using a Ventralight® prosthesis was performed via thoracotomy. The clinical course was favourable, with a significant decrease in chest pain.
