This report presents the harmonization of the CriticalFires modeling suite, an integrated framework that combines vegetation dynamics, wildfire disturbance, and soil carbon processes. The model couples a vegetation succession and fire module with the RothC soil carbon model to investigate feedbacks between vegetation structure, fire regimes, and soil organic carbon dynamics. It provides a tool to explore ecosystem resilience, carbon storage, and the interactions between wildfires and Critical Zone processes under varying environmental conditions. This study was part of the project “CRITICAL-FIRES”, funded by the Italian PNRR initiative “RETURN” (RETURN Extended Partnership, https://www.fondazionereturn.it/en/). “CRITICAL-FIRES” was coordinated by the Italian National Research Council (CNR). PNRR is funded by the European Union under the Next Generation Europe program (NRRP, M4, C2, I1.3 – D.D. 1243 2/8/2022, PE0000005).
