Intelligent algorithm modeling and real-time simulation verification for vibration control in high-rise building structures

With the growing pace of urban development, high-rise buildings are springing up all over the place, and structural vibration problems under wind or earthquake actions attract more and more attentions. The conventional vibration reduction methods have the disadvantages of poor adaptability and real-time performance. An intelligent algorithm based modeling and RTVS verification method for the vibration control of high-rise building structures is presented in this paper. Dynamic model of the high-rise building is established first through which its mechanical vibration characteristic and some major influence factors are analyzed. Second, a control strategy with the coupling model of the controller and algorithms is proposed based on intelligent algorithms including genetic algorithm, particle swarm optimization algorithm, reinforcement learning; wherein an efficient vibration control system is obtained. In the end, real-time simulation test based on MATLAB/Simulink and digital twin technology is carried out to quantitatively analyze the effective of control. Numerical results prove that the proposed intelligent algorithm control scheme can effectively reduce the amplitude of structure vibration, improve response rate, and show good adaptability and robustness in different operating environments. This work establishes the new theoretical supports and method references field of vibration control for tall buildings, and demonstrates the feasibility of intelligent structural control in engineering application.
