Key Clinical Message Patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) are prone to life‐threatening spinal injury even with minor trauma because of the loss of flexibility and ankylosis, altering the biomechanics leading to osteoporotic spine. Early diagnosis, flexibility exercises, and fall prevention are crucial in management of AS to prevent mortality.
