Does intentional atrial pacing resolve Torsade de pointes induced by VVI pacing in a patient with Long QT syndrome?
In patients with Long QT syndrome, VVI pacing can induce Torsade de pointes via retrograde ventriculoatrial activation, which can be effectively resolved by intentional atrial pacing to restore atrioventricular synchrony.
Pacing without atrioventricular sequence might be catastrophic in LQTs. Atrial pacing and atrioventricular synchrony should be highlighted.
