This paper studies the anisotropy of plastic behaviour in heavily cold drawn pearlitic steels supplied in the form of prestressing steel wires for prestressed concrete, analyzing the evolution of Vickers micro-hardness in progressively drawn eutectoid steels focussing the study on the characteristic sections of the wires. The average value of the Vickers micro-hardness was calculated for each section according to its symmetry, thus studying the variation of these values with cold drawing.
