Swami Premeshananda was a great monk of the Ramakrishna Mission who was inspired by the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna. He has made several valuable opinions on Hinduism in Various books written by him. Not only religious matter, he has made valuable opinions for the development of Indian education. Swami Premeshananda gave valuable views on the concept of education, aims of education, methodology, curriculum, women education etc. He was criticized the British education. In His famous book ‘Atmavikash’, where he described about the way of moral and holistic life for the students. Apart from this Premesh Maharaj composed an informative monograph for the development of education particularly in West Bengal. He also emphasized on religious education and proper reading habits in his educational thought. This paper wants to highlight Educational Thoughts of Swami Premeshananda and Its Implications for Present System of Indian Education. This is a qualitative study and multiple methods (Narrative method, Historical method) have been applied.
