What are the independent predictors of long-term all-cause death in elderly patients over 80 years hospitalized with heart failure?
Lower eGFR, lower BMI, male sex, sustained VT/VF, and diuretic use are independent predictors of long-term all-cause mortality in heart failure patients over 80 years old.
Among patients hospitalized with HF, elderly patients had a worse prognosis than younger patients. Lower eGFR, lower BMI, male sex, sustained VT/VF, and diuretic use were independent predictors for all-cause death in these patients with higher risk.
