Abstract

Half sandwich ruthenium complexes with 5,7-dimethyl-1,3-diazaadamantane-6-one, 5,7-dimethyl-1,3-diazaadamantane, 1,5-dimethyl-3,7-diazabicyclo3.3.1nonan-9-one, and 1,5-dimethyl-3,7-diazabicyclo 3.3.1nonane are prepared for the first time; their crystal structures are determined by single crystal XRD. It is established that 5,7-dimethyl-1,3-diazaadamantane can form both mononuclear and dinuclear complexes with ruthenium. In the bispidine complexes, hydrogen atoms at the nitrogen atoms are oriented at a non-typical angle.
