Does Body-Surface Area-based dosing of cisplatin improve the accuracy of predicting cisplatin exposure compared to fixed-dosing regimens?
BSA-based dosing of cisplatin does not increase the accuracy of predicting drug exposure, supporting a shift to fixed-dosing regimens.
In view of the high interpatient variability in CL(free) relative to variation in observed BSA, no rationale for continuing BSA-based dosing was found. We recommend fixed-dosing regimens for cisplatin.
