Key Points

  • This research aims to evaluate the therapeutic effects of fraxin in treating acute mesenteric ischemia-reperfusion injuries.
  • Administered fraxin in an acute mesenteric artery ischemia-reperfusion injury model.
  • Assessed tissue preservation and antioxidant parameters post-treatment.
  • Measured levels of oxidative stress and inflammation.
  • Fraxin administration significantly preserved affected tissues.
  • Improved antioxidant parameters were observed following fraxin treatment.
  • Oxidative stress and inflammation levels were notably reduced.

Abstract

Fraxin administration preserved tissues and improved antioxidant parameters by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation in the acute mesenteric artery ischemia-reperfusion injury (AMAIRI) model. Based on these findings, fraxin may be considered a potential therapeutic option for mesenteric ischemia-reperfusion-related injuries.
