Upadacitinib Versus Tofacitinib in Anti‐ MDA5 ‐Positive Dermatomyositis With Interstitial Lung Disease: A Multi‐Centre Cohort Study Emulating a Target Trial
This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of upadacitinib compared to tofacitinib in patients with MDA5-positive dermatomyositis and interstitial lung disease.
Multi-centre cohort design
Patient population included MDA5-positive dermatomyositis with interstitial lung disease
Assessment of lung transplantation-free survival at 6 months
Upadacitinib was shown to be non-inferior to tofacitinib in improving lung survival by 6 months
Both treatments displayed comparable safety profiles
Abstract
UPA was found to be non-inferior to TOFA in improving 6-month lung transplantation-free survival among patients with MDA5+DM-ILD, with comparable safety.
