The book nonetheless makes a substantial contribution to debates in literacy, educational policy, and technology studies by offering more than a general critique of edtech hype: it provides educators and researchers with a precise vocabulary and a set of conceptual lenses for naming how racialized power operates through the infrastructures that increasingly mediate reading, writing, and learning.
