Key Points

  • This research aims to explore the role of lower limb orthoses in rehabilitation and their adaptation over time.
  • Discussion of lower limb orthosis types and techniques
  • Analysis of rehabilitation protocols based on central nervous system reorganization theory
  • Consideration of surface electromyography for objective assessment
  • Lower limb orthosis aids in adjusting the difficulty of motor tasks during rehabilitation
  • Proper adaptation is crucial due to functional changes and wear of orthoses over time
  • Objective assessment methods improve the effectiveness of orthotic prescriptions
