Abstract : Thoracolumbar compression fractures often occur in sudden circumstances. After the onset of the disease, many patients experience varying degrees of anxiety, fear, and other emotional distress, along with a lack of understanding of their condition and insufficient knowledge about related information and precautions. This often leads to ineffective cooperation with medical staff during clinical treatment, thereby impacting therapeutic outcomes. The self-care interactive model, which involves health education and enhances patients' self-care abilities, has been proven to significantly promote clinical treatment efficacy and recovery for thoracolumbar fracture patients. This article outlines thoracolumbar compression fractures and the necessity of implementing a self-care model, while analyzing self-care measures for patients by combining the role of progressive rehabilitation nursing in postoperative functional recovery.
