This paper explores the technical feasibility and strategic importance of deploying autonomous solar-powered Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG) systems in Turkmenistan. Given the country's high solar irradiance—exceeding 300 sunny days per year—and the challenges of supplying water to remote desert locations, solar energy is identified as the primary catalyst for decentralized water production. The study analyzes the integration of photovoltaic (PV) and solar-thermal units with adsorption-based harvesting technologies, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional water trucking in the Karakum Desert.
