Oral-Mucosa-on-a-Chip The cover illustrates an oral mucosa-on-a-chip that reconstructs the complex microenvironment of human oral mucosa. A stratified epithelium, lamina propria, and vascular layers are integrated within a microfluidic platform to reproduce key physiological functions. This platform enables investigation of chemotherapy-induced mucositis, supports drug response evaluation, and provides a promising alternative to conventional animal models in preclinical studies.
