A renewable glucose-derived methacrylate monomer for photopolymerization: synthesis, copolymerization with MMA, and structure–property relationships
The research aims to synthesize a glucose-derived methacrylate for photopolymerization and to explore its properties through copolymerization with MMA.
Synthesis of glucose-derived methacrylate (MA-IPT-GF).
Photopolymerization of MA-IPT-GF with MMA under UV irradiation.
Use of benzophenone as a photoinitiator.
Successful synthesis of MA-IPT-GF, which exhibits favorable properties for photopolymerization.
Copolymerization with MMA resulted in effective structural and property relationships, demonstrating versatility.
Abstract
A glucose-derived methacrylate (MA-IPT-GF) was synthesized and photopolymerized with MMA under UV irradiation using benzophenone as a photoinitiator.
