The article discusses the features of professional identity of students of agricultural colleges. The purpose of the study is to determine the prevailing motives of students' educational activities and the level of professional identity among college students in various fields of study. A study was conducted on two groups of senior students, 116 students each, studying in the areas of training specialists for the agro-industrial complex and in the areas of training that also include work in other industries. The assessment of the methodology the questionnaire of T.I. Ilyina «Motivation for university studies», adapted for college students, was carried out.
