ABSTRACT In this study, novel Mes‐Imd‐tagged copper catalysts, namely MIMM Cu (OAc) 3 , BIMM Cu (OAc) 3 2 , and TIMM Cu (OAc) 3 3 , were designed, synthesized, and characterized by different techniques. Their surfactant property was studied by conductometry and UV–Visible spectroscopy. These Mes‐Imd‐tagged copper catalysts were employed as “click catalysts” for the synthesis of a library of 1,4‐disubstituted triazoles and also applied for synthesis of mono‐substituted 1H‐tetrazoles with high yields in water. The scope and catalytic activity of these catalysts are described here for the first time. The benefit of this approach is that it can be recycled at least five times, use an aqueous medium, and worked at ambient temperature.
