The paper considers the integral equations of statistical physics for the single-particle and two-particle distribution functions the kernels of which are represented as infinite series of irreducible diagrams. It is shown that the Percus–Yevick approximation of the direct correlation function of spatially homogeneous fluids can be applied to the direct correlation function of fluid boundary layers.
