This project explores the informativeness of firm communication with investors along with other stakeholders and how firms strategically maneuver this process for their objectives. It involves collecting recordings of earnings conference calls, which are one of the most important media for firms to communicate with stakeholders, held by US-listed firms. Combined with the transcripts for these meetings available in other business databases, this project provides abundant acoustic and textual data for communication and management studies.
