This paper explores in detail the potential for sub-GeV dark matter detection using lab-grown diamond. The authors find comparable performance to other semiconductor technologies, such as Ge and Si, for nuclear and electronic recoils, with the ability to explore parameter space not covered by existing experiments. Possible advantages for diamond are discussed.
