Abstract

Although mechanical element technology such as gears and screws is essential for power transmission and element fastening, it is generally considered to be a mature technology, and mechanical engineering students have little interest in it. In this paper, we introduce the mechanical element technology education at Doshisha University's Department of Mechanical Engineering as an example of a private university.
