The authors actualize the issue of scientific and methodological support of the formation of BA professional competencies in major 44.03.05 Pedagogical Education (with two training profiles: Biology and Chemistry) in conditions of implementation of the Core of Higher Pedagogical Education. The aim of the paper is to reveal theoretical and methodological approaches to the professional training of a chemistry teacher, as well as to substantiate the pedagogical conditions of the organization of the educational process in implementing within the Core of higher pedagogical education with students in the first year. On the basis of analysis and generalization of the research results, authors attempt to rethink an existing practice of training students to perform professional activities of a chemistry teacher. The novelty of the study lies in the new conditions of parallel study on subject and disciplines of methodological module. There is an opportunity to create conditions for the development of cognitive, motivation-value, practice-oriented, communicative and reflexive components of professional competence of a chemistry teacher from the first year of study at University. The result of theoretical study is a model of scientific and methodological support of the educational process, combining traditional and innovative methods, forms and means of teaching in the conditions of the information and educational environment of a pedagogical university.
