Objective of the study. The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of two sociological studies – IS RAS in 1984 and VСIOM in 2021. The purpose of the analysis is to determine what changes in the respondents' assessment of work (such indicators as pride in work and job satisfaction) have occurred in more than 35 years that have passed between the studies. The research methodology includes a comparative analysis, derivation of a new variable using addition in the SPSS program. Results of the study. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that job satisfaction among women respondents increased, and satisfaction among women in 2021 exceeded this indicator among men, which is confirmation of the gender paradox. According to the results of addition and derivation of a new variable, ″satisfaction and pride in their work″ among the responses of the respondents of the two studied samples, the difference is not statistically significant, which implies additional research. Research рerspectives. To deepen the conducted research, to conduct an additional comparison to identify satisfaction and pride in their work – among representatives of various professional groups, in order to determine whether there have been changes in the period between the studies.
