With the development of media integration technology, ideological and political education in colleges and universities is facing a critical period of transformation. This paper discusses the systematic advantages of media integration in ideological and political education in universities and its challenges in information regulation. The study found that the richness of educational content and student participation is improved by integrating diversified information resources. However, the openness and fragmentation of information also bring about complexity to information regulation. This paper analyzes the limitations of traditional ideological and political education, discusses the way of integrating media and changing the dissemination of educational content, and puts forward strategies to improve the effect of education. Finally, the paper puts forward the suggestions that universities should use media integration technology to innovate the content and form of education, strengthen the supervision of network information, and teachers should improve their teaching ability.
