International Academic Conference “The 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and World War II”

The victory in the Great Patriotic War was a major event not only in the history of Russia, but of all mankind. The Soviet Union defeated the military-political bloc of aggressor countries, led by Nazi Germany. At the international conference “80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War” held on April 22—23, leading foreign and Russian historians and researchers agreed on the significance of this event, paying attention to both the general context and regional aspects of the fight against global evil.
