Dataset reporting the literature used to assess use and influence of natural capital in policy-making

This database contains the selected information for constructing the narrative of the paper "Where is Natural Capital being used in Policy-Making? Results from an international review". It includes 168 sources providing details on the scale, and location of implementation of the influencd policies, the policy area or domain, and the stage of the policy process (where possible). Additionally, it reports the "dominant" type of approach used (e.g., natural capital or ecosystem services), with details on qualitative or quantitative methods used to influence the policy debate. Notes on the type of influence on policy formulation and use are also provided. A classification of the impacts on policy making is proposed, following a modified approach proposed by Zolyomi et al.
