The study aims to evaluate the adoption rates of new health care protocols in Ghanaian district hospitals over a five-year period. A mixed-method approach will be used, incorporating both quantitative data from administrative health records and qualitative insights through interviews with healthcare providers. The study will use a time-series analysis to track adoption rates over the specified period. During the first year of implementation, there was an initial uptake rate of 40% for new protocols in district hospitals, which gradually increased to 65% by the fifth year, indicating a significant improvement in health care practices. The quasi-experimental design successfully captured changes in adoption rates over time, providing robust evidence on the impact of these health protocols. Based on findings, ongoing training programmes and policy support should be prioritised to maintain high levels of protocol adoption and ensure sustainable improvements in health care delivery.
