This study examines the tradition of military interventions and coups d'état from the late Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey through a historical perspective. Starting from the Committee of Union and Progress era, the turning points in Republican history are discussed, and the impact of coups on Turkish political life is analyzed.
