Which QT correction formula is preferred for the assessment of drug-induced QT interval prolongation?
The Hodges formula and Nomogram method are preferred over Bazett's formula for assessing drug-induced QT prolongation, especially at heart rates deviating from 60 bpm.
Bazett's formula should be avoided to assess DeltaQTc at heart rates distant from 60 beats/min. The Hodges formula followed by the Nomogram method seem most appropriate in assessing DeltaQTc.
