Level 2 descriptive building recording carried out in advance of refurbishment of Jules House. Jules House originated from at least the late 19th century as two adjacent residential properties, which may have replaced or partially integrated structural elements of earlier buildings. The east range comprises a larger, more elegant house, whereas the west range is a small dwelling. In the mid-to late 20th century these properties were merged internally, acting as a care centre, later as offices, and most recently used by Rutland County Council as the Pinewood Hostel Community Centre.
