This article examines the methodology of teaching literary fairy tales in today's school education. The types of fairy tale genres given in 5th grade literature textbooks are approached both theoretically and practically. Special attention is paid to teaching technologies and their effectiveness characteristics in accordance with the age characteristics of the child. The opinions of methodologists on this issue are presented and explained with their own opinions.
